Firearm Noise Sound Level Meter. Spartan 821IH-QPR.
Spartan Series Firearm Noise Sound Level Meter. Firearms Acoustic Analysis.

Offering quantitative measurements of sound pressure levels generated by firearms with and without suppression devices and silencers, Spartan Firearm Noise Sound Level Meter 821IH-QPR is an ideal solution for firearm examiners.
Measure up to 183 dB with the included ¼” prepolarized microphone.
Many firearm examiners are tasked with determining whether installation of a suppressor on a firearm results in a “perceptible” reduction of the sound pressure level of a gun. The Larson Davis Spartan 821IH-QPR provides this functionality utilizing an easy-to use handheld platform. Included BLE technology allows for easy measurement control using the LD Atlas mobile app or included software. Meters may also be connected via USB-C.
With the included ¼” prepolarized pressure microphone, Spartan 821IH-QPR is capable of reading levels up to 183 dB, easily capturing levels typically associated with gunfire testing. Included G4 LD Utility software provides automatic wireless or USB data download, and convenient data storage options. View tabular data, visualize results on a graph, create custom reports, and export data to a variety of formats.

Updates from the manufacturer –
The Firearm Noise Sound Level Meter – Spartan 821IH-QPR (#821IH-QPR) should be sold with the X21-ACC2 accessory kit
*If you do not have a calibrator you must purchase the X21-ACC2 accessory kit to ensure a reliable measurement (the kit includes the hard shell case, CAL1200 class 1 calibrator, windscreen, and other accessories)
**Customer need to calibrate the 821 before and after each measurement with an acoustic calibrator. You can still use the 821 and it will provide a number, however, that number is not reliable unless the instrument is properly field calibrated before and after each measurement.
***If the user already has a class 1 acoustic calibrator, then they can use this with the 821. If not, then it is recommended they purchase the accessory kit or the CAL1200 individually.
